Last week, finally home from a long day at work, The Husband and I sat on the couch and watched a little TV. Manny likes this part of the day, too. He gets to climb on top of the couch and just chill with us. This particular night, he didn't feel like watching TV. Something was bothering him and he felt it was his duty as our pet to correct the situation that had arisen.

Apparently, a piece of the The Husband's hair was sticking up in the back. This must've bothered Manny for he took his paw, licked it, and wiped it on The Husband's head. Lick, rub, and repeat. When Manny couldn't get this stray piece of hair to behave, he started nibbling and licking it. The Husband sat very still and in a trembling voice asked, "what is Manny doing to me..." I watched and started laughing as I realized, my metrosexual cat was grooming my husband.

Then I got jealous.

Our princess Penny has an obsession with licking people, both their hair, especially if it is wet, and their skin. It tickles like crazy when she licks your skin, and she is obsessed with licking and biting my husband's beard, which apparently tickles and hurts him at the same time. But, that's still better than Melvin, our fat cat, who likes to cuddle in bed with us and bite our arms and hands. I know it's gotta be affection because he purrs like crazy when he does it.
