I am a diehard Yankee Fan.  The Husband is an equally diehard...oh, I can barely type it...Met Fan.  Yes, we have a mixed married.  A Yankee Fan and  a Met Fan. Happily married.  Let's just say that things get interesting during the months of April through October.  Well, for The Husband things tend to wane around September, when the Mets "stellar" season doesn't premit them a playoff berth.  But I digress.  We always wondered if we had kids, who would they root for?  Would they join forces with me and root for the Bronx Bomers or get on the band wagon with The Husband and cheer on the 1986 World Series Champs.  We figured we would just let the kids decide who they should pledge their allegiance to.  Manny came into the picture in the mddle of October so he wasn't able to side with me or The Husband for this season.  Secretly, I've been gearing him up for April.  I started telling Manny about the Yankee Lineup and will inform him of any off season trades.  I don't know if The Husband has been as diligent with his Root for the Mets campaign, but I do know this, any attempt on his part would be futile: Manny already is a Yankee Fan.  How do I know?  Well the only ornament knocked of the Christmas tree was the yucky one with the METS logo on it.  Ahh, he is his mother's cat!
